Refund Policy

Refund Policy

The Journal of Environmental Sciences and Technology (JEST) is committed to providing high-quality services to its authors. However, we understand that there may be circumstances in which an author may need to request a refund.

Article Processing Fees (APCs)

APCs are non-refundable once an article has been published. This is because the APC is used to cover the costs of publishing the article, including peer review, editing, and production.

Author Submissions

Authors may request a refund for their submission fee if they withdraw their manuscript before it has been sent to peer review. The refund will be processed within 5 business days.

Exceptions

In rare cases, the Editor-in-Chief may approve a refund for an APC even after an article has been published. This will only be done if there are extenuating circumstances, such as if the article was found to be plagiarized or if the author's institution was unable to pay the APC.

Requests for Refunds

All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the JEST Editorial Office. Please include the following information in your request:

  • Your name and contact information
  • The title of the article
  • The date of submission
  • The reason for your request

The Editorial Office will review your request and respond to you within 5 business days.

Please note:

  • This policy is subject to change at any time without notice.
  • The Editor-in-Chief's decision on all refund requests is final.
